Israel Based Positions
Grant Writer
The Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies, an open, non-denominational Jewish learningcommunity based in Jerusalem, is seeking to hire an Israel-based grant writer. A strong interest in Pardes and its mission is essential. Candidates should be team players with a track record of proven success in writing and/or fundraising, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Draft, edit and refine grant proposals, reports and other donor cultivation
materials - Research and prioritize prospective donors
- Develop compelling new content focused on Pardes's impact
- Coordinate development needs with marketing and finance departments
- Partner with Pardes program directors and colleagues in Israel and North
America - Manage development documentation and proposal tracking in Salesforce
- Provide support for donor cultivation and events
Qualifications:
- 3 years proven success in writing and/or fundraising
- Excellent writing, editing and communication skills in English
- Top-notch organizational skills
- Consistent, thorough, detail-oriented and deadline-driven
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and projects
- Experience with Salesforce a plus
This is an 80% to 100% FTE position with a preference for full-time. It involves both
remote work and in-office work in Jerusalem. Work hours are flexible and some

Social Media Strategist (Maternity Leave)

Position Overview
Pardes is seeking maternity leave cover full-time Social Media Strategist to manage our digital presence on a temporary basis. This role requires a quick learner with experience in social media management who can seamlessly continue our strategy across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
Pardes’ social media strategy is at the cutting edge of best practices—our content is channel-specific, data-driven, and optimized for maximum impact based on platform trends. We’re looking for a candidate who can seamlessly continue this approach, ensuring our content remains strategic, engaging, and aligned with our organizational goals.
This is a temporary, full-time role to cover maternity leave reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer. If you’re a social media professional looking for an exciting opportunity to make an impact on an excellent team, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy. Oversee Pardes’ existing social media strategy, ensuring content is published consistently and is brand-appropriate.
- Content. Ideate, produce, create, schedule, and post content for Pardes’s social channels.
- Community. Engage with followers and facilitate community growth by responding to and engaging comments, messages, tags, and shares in a timely manner.
- Analytics. Track and report on analytics to ensure consistency in engagement and performance.
- Teamwork. Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure all promotional content is accurate and published. Coordinate with Pardes educators to create engaging Jewish educational content.
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience managing social media for a mission-driven organization (Jewish NGO experience a plus).
- Strong content creation skills, including social-first writing, design coordination, and short-form video editing.
- Skilled at crafting compelling captions, hooks, and calls to action that drive engagement.
- Confident capturing photo and video content using a phone, with an eye for what works on social media.
- Proficient in editing tools like CapCut (or similar) and Canva for quick-turnaround content.
- Platform-fluent: you know your way around Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn, including posting, engagement, and staying on top of trends.
- Experienced in filming, editing, and producing short-form video content for social-first audiences.
- Able to manage community engagement—responding to comments, DMs, and interactions with a brand-aligned voice.
- Comfortable tracking and interpreting social media analytics to inform and refine strategy.
- Organized and efficient in managing content workflows and coordinating across internal teams and educators.
- Up to date on trending sounds and formats, with a creative, experimental mindset.
- Adaptable, self-motivated, and energized by working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement and Activation
Start date: ASAP
We are seeking a charismatic, creative, and action-oriented Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement and Activation to lead this initiative. This individual will play a key role in bridging the gap between the immersive Jerusalem-based Pardes experience and the ongoing life-long learning opportunities we offer in North America.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and Iterate Alumni Engagement Strategies:
- Enhance the current “menu” of opportunities for Pardes alumni to both “give” to
and “receive” from, Pardes.- Give: Empower alumni to take action, create initiatives, and leverage
Pardes as a platform for leadership and innovation. - Receive: Encourage alumni to engage in continued learning through
classes, retreats, Shabbatonim, cohorts, and other programs.
- Give: Empower alumni to take action, create initiatives, and leverage
- Ongoing internal evaluation of efficacy of strategies and implementing iterative
updates to enhance outcomes.
- Enhance the current “menu” of opportunities for Pardes alumni to both “give” to
- Program Development and Management:
- In collaboration with the wider team, develop and implement ideas for online and in person classes, including holiday programs, one-off shiurim, and limited series.
- Oversee the execution of programs including but not limited to: email
correspondence and registration, coordinating with marketing, Zoom production,
and post-program evaluation. - Ensuring cross-departmental collaboration specifically with the engagement and
development teams - Serve as the project manager for select alumni cohort learning programs,
ensuring smooth operations and successful outcomes.
- Community Building and Leadership:
- Foster strong, relational connections with alumni, encouraging their active
involvement in the Pardes community. - Identify and cultivate connections with key alumni leaders. Lead efforts to inspire alumni to take on leadership roles within their communities, promoting Pardes’ values and educational mission.
- Cultivate and steward and existing external partnerships with organizations and
initiatives as it relates to our Pardesnik engagement and activation work
- Foster strong, relational connections with alumni, encouraging their active
- Alumni Coaching and Mentorship:
- Provide coaching and mentorship to alumni interested in developing initiatives, such as micro-grants or local events, and support them in realizing their ideas. This may include group coaching within cohorts.
- Targeted Recruitment and Outreach:
- Engage in focused recruitment and outreach efforts to involve specific alumni in relevant Pardes offerings.
- Collaborate with the wider team to manage recruitment for various programs,
including necessary follow-up and evaluation.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in alumni relations, community engagement, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building and maintaining relationships.
- Creativity and initiative in developing new programs and strategies to engage alumni.
- Passion for Jewish learning and a deep connection to the mission of Pardes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Willingness to travel as needed to engage with alumni across North America.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Alum of Pardes
- Experience working in Jewish education or community leadership.
- Familiarity with the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies and its programs.
- Based in New York City
