Pardes is currently looking to fill the following positions:

The Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies, an open, co-ed, and non-denominational Jewish learning community based in Jerusalem, is looking to hire a Director of Communications in Israel. The Director of Communications will lead the public relations, marketing, and overall branding efforts of the Institute in close cooperation with the President and senior management. A strong interest in Pardes and its mission is essential.

Candidates should have a track record of proven success in communications with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Public relations, marketing, and print communications
  • Strategic planning, creative planning, branding, and implementation of communications plan
  • Working with program directors, fundraising teams, recruitment teams, and others to develop marketing strategies in support of programmatic and institutional goals
  • Brand guardianship: Making sure all communications are on message and consistent, look and feel like Pardes, and reflect the brand in exciting and creative ways
  • Maintaining and increasing the profile of Pardes in the Jewish world
  • Tailoring materials and campaigns for different target audiences
  • Working closely with the Director of Online and Digital Media
  • Implementation and oversight of the budget for communications

Key skills required for the position include:

  • The ability to write sharp and engaging copy in English – excellent writing, language, and editing skills
  • Great eye for design
  • Excellent project management
  • Attention to detail
  • An understanding of and passion for adult Jewish education
  • The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
