“I first visited Pardes after a MASA Leadership Conference in Jerusalem on the invitation of Erika, the former Director of Engagement, and I was captivated by the learning with this diverse and energetic community at that Shabbaton. I knew that I would return one day. Years later, while living in Berlin, I was contacted by a former Pardes student, now a rabbinical student, Jeremy Borovitz, and his wife, Rebecca. They wanted to launch a brand new initiative, where a rabbinic couple would host and teach people in their (temporary) home. The initiative has been a roaring success, and this was further proof of how innovative the leaders that graduate from Pardes can be. As my last contract as a researcher ended, I applied for the European Leadership Fellowship, and Pardes was happy to accept my application and help me in every way to be able to participate in the Year Program. As for future plans, I will only say that I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship…”
