
Rabbi Moshe Silver and his wife, Dr, Reza Green, made Aliyah in 2018 and live in Jerusalem. Moshe teaches Rambam, with an emphasis on the relevance of Maimonides’ thought to our lives and our world today. Moshe was a senior executive in a leading US independent investment research firm, where he remains a partner.
After receiving semicha from Rav Dan Channen of Yeshivat Chonen Da’as, Moshe taught a semicha shiur in Highland Park, NJ, and has taught Torah in diverse venues, including the Princeton, NJ, Jewish Center, and at Chabad and Yeshivat Hashivenu in Jerusalem. Moshe was a founding member of the popular Drisha minyan in New York, where he participated in leading Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur services for forty years. After making Aliyah, he led Rosh Hashana services for his first two years in Jerusalem, then organized teams to blow shofar throughout the city during the years of Corona.
Moshe holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and an MFA in Creative Writing from The New School. His book of Torah commentary, The Weight of Gold, is available at select Jerusalem booksellers and on Amazon.
