Avi Spodek

It’s tough to capture Avi’s essence in a short bio, but suffice it to say that once you meet him you realize that he is much more than the stereotypical born-and-raised Canadian who spent his college years in Israel and now resides in the United States.

Avi joined Pardes in 2022 as the Director for Recruitment at the Pardes Center for Jewish Education, following two decades serving in various roles as a Jewish day school educator in North America. He has served as a Beit Midrash Educator at BCI, an educator for the Jewish Learning Collaborative and a teacher in various communities throughout North America.

Avi holds a BA in History from Bar Ilan University, an MJEd from Hebrew College, rabbinic ordination from Rav Zalman Nechemiah Goldberg zt”l and Rabbi Daniel Landes shlit”a. He is also a proud alumnus of the Pardes Teacher Fellowship (PEP ’12).

Avi currently lives in Baltimore, MD with his wife, Tikki, and his three children, Jack, Ariella and Noah.
