IF YOU COULD HAVE ANY SHABBAT GUEST, WHO WOULD IT BE?

Rabban Yochanan Ben Zakkai. He’s the one that started it all, the entire Rabbinic Jewish project. Why didn’t he ask Vespasian to not destroy the Temple?

WHAT DOES THE JEWISH WORLD NEED MOST RIGHT NOW?

To read Pirkei Avot 1:6 collectively, every day, over and over again, until it sticks.

HOW DOES PARDES CONTINUE TO AFFECT YOU TODAY?

I believe in a Torah that is accessible and personal. Pardes made me see this as possible.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS AT PARDES?

Talmudic Personalities with Leah Rosenthal, it changed the way I read the text and made me understand that the Rabbis are people who wanted to transmit something down to us. Who they were matters.

WHAT ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF IN YOUR WORK?

After the recent outbreak of the war in Ukraine, we completely shifted the focus of our work to supporting refugees, including turning our Hillel space in Berlin into a refugee center.
