Upcoming Event - Torah of Gathering in Dark Times: Crash Course

Friends, we hear you, we see you. These are dark times. Many of us are feeling lonely, disconnected, and in need of the comfort and safety of community. Pardes seeks to empower you to establish and strengthen your own local communities through the power of gathering. We invite Pardes alumni and friends to join us for a crash course* on “The Torah of Gathering”, in which we will learn foundational skills of building meaningful communities of comfort and support grounded in Torah.

Participants will be given the opportunity to apply for a limited number of special microgrants to bring their own gatherings to life.

This program is for you if you are:

  • Curious about what Jewish texts have to say about this moment
  • Eager to hold space for yourself and others
  • Interested in using Jewish texts as a bridge to connect with others
  • Open to exploring your own feelings and experiences of this moment
  • Committed to experimenting and iterating on ideas with our program team

The Details:

When is this being held and where?
Wherever you are! (on Zoom)
Wednesday, November 15
7:00-9:00PM EST / 4:00-6:00PM PST

Who is eligible for a micro-grant and what does it entail?

At this moment, microgrants are only available to those living in North America. Details about the microgrant funding and eligibility will be shared with program participants.

*Please note that this crash course does not cover all elements of our “Torah of Gathering” curriculum. We will be holding more Torah of Gathering Intensives around the US in coming months. Attending this crash course will not prohibit your participation in the Intensive in the future. In fact, we hope you will join us in person when we come to your city!
