This week equipment was brought in to drill the 22 meter (72 foot) piles. That depth is equivalent to 6.6 stories underground. Under the supervision of an engineer and surveyor, the holes were drilled and the steel rebars that were hung in position by a crane, were inserted into adjacent holes. These sections were then filled with concrete.
