Pardes Day of Learning
Today’s Day of Learning (July 8, 2020 / 16 Tamuz 5780) is sponsored by Carole Daman, alumna of the Year Program ’73-’74 and many other Pardes programs including Spirituality Retreats and Executive Learning Seminars. The learning is in memory of her father Isidor Goldberg z”l.
Remarks shared by Carole in memory of her father:
My father Isidor Goldberg, Simcha Yisroel ben Shmuel z”l, who passed away on the 16th of Tammuz 2004 was an extremely devoted father and grandfather. He was also deeply committed to Jewish continuity, actively supporting JNF, BBYO and local Jewish community organizations. He wanted to get other Jews involved as well, and he undertook, on his own initiative, the distribution of JNF tzedakah boxes to family and friends. He was blessed with an extremely sharp mind up until his death, just shy of age 94, and after he retired in his mid-70’s focused on improving his comprehension of the Hebrew language and knowledge of traditional texts taking classes at his synagogue. As he once told a friend, I want to be learning what my grandchildren are learning.
