Manny Samuels

“Once I retired, I sought out a place that not only studied Talmud, but covered other aspects of Jewish learning. I wanted to expand my horizons by studying in a place that was open to all denominations and offered more than one way to understand our text and traditions. My only apprehension was the age gap between the rest of the student body and me and to what extent I would feel accepted. What I found was to be pleasantly surprised on both aspects. The sense of community here is strong and I feel that I am an integral part of it. The teaching staff are professionals who know how to keep the learning interesting, challenging, and entertaining at the same time.”

Before his retirement, Manny was the owner of “Manny’s Books”, a store that sold sifrei kodesh and became famous among yeshiva and seminary students studying in Israel. He is the father of 5 children and 15 grandchildren with #16 on the way. To read an article about Manny from “Mishpacha” magazine from May 25, 2011, click here.
