Gavi (Gavriella) Kornsgold (Experiential Educators Program)

“Being part of the Pardes (trip to) Turkey cohort truly allowed me to understand how I was internalizing my learning at Pardes. In Turkey, our goal was to create and facilitate Jewish content-based experiential learning for many parts of the Turkish Jewish community in Istanbul. In planning and executing these programs, I was able to see my learning from this year be used in my role as a Jewish educator. I was able to watch my text learning, along with my participation in the Pardes Experiential Educators Program, impact another community as well as impact myself as an educator and as an individual Jewish adult.

Gavi (Gavriella) Kornsgold, from Los Angeles, CA, is a participant in the Pardes Experiential Educators Program and is working towards her MA in Jewish Education from The Jewish Theological Seminary. She was recently graduated from the Joint-Program with Columbia University and The Jewish Theological Seminary with BAs in Sociology and Talmud. Gavi loves spending her summers working at Camp Ramah in California, visiting art museums, walking among nature, and cooking dinner with her husband, Noam.
