“In Judy Klitsner’s Chumash class, I learned how to identify and investigate textual difficulties in the bible using a host of techniques, including those the rabbis have used for centuries in trying to interpret a tantalizingly cryptic text. As my Hebrew skills have improved this year, I find it incredibly meaningful and rewarding to be able to read the Tanakh in its own words (i.e. Hebrew) and unlock its deeper meaning and relevance by using the skills I learned in this course.”

I hail from Westport, CT and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2017 with a degree in Biology. I’m an aspiring physician and will be applying to medical school after my year at Pardes. When not in the Pardes Bet Midrash, I love to sing, hike around Israel, and dance salsa.
