PCJE Teaching Tanakh Conference

Program Description

The PCJE Teaching Tanakh Conference ran in November, 2016. Click here for details of our 2017 program.

The Pardes Center for Jewish Educators is pleased to offer this unique conference for Day school Tanakh teachers, grades 3-12, with at least one year teaching experience. This conference aims to help participants think deeply about their goals for Tanakh education and provide specific tools and strategies to help them meet those goals. Through a variety of workshops, participants will emerge with a clearer vision for what they want to achieve in their classrooms and strategies to help them get there.

The Keynote address, by veteran Tanakh teacher, administrator and curriculum developer Dr. Susie Tanchel, will be followed by numerous workshops which will include an opportunity for participants to apply practical tools/techniques to their curriculum. We will support participants to ensure that there is alignment between their take-aways and their identified goals. Participants will leave the conference with at least one significant and tangible commitment that they are taking from the conference and plan to apply to their teaching.

There will be a ‘collaboration track’, for colleagues from the same school to work together in a supported and guided environment. So that they can maximize the implementation of their take-aways from the conference.

PCJE has amassed and created an extensive and useful collection of content and resources for Jewish educators. Click here to search the PCJE Elmad channel. elmad redesign updated
