The one-year Pardes Day School Educators Program – One-Year Certificate in Jewish Studies is designed for future Jewish Studies teachers in day schools who are graduates of MA programs in Teaching or Jewish Education and who are motivated to supplement their academic training with rich Jewish text study and Israel experience.
Veteran teachers (with at least four years of professional full-time teaching experience) seeking an opportunity to refresh or enrich text skills, re-prioritize teaching goals or expand their professional role in a Jewish day school may also apply to the program.
The one-year Pardes Day School Educators Program includes core components of the Pardes Year Program, plus: summer Hebrew language ulpan prior to the academic year through Ulpan Or; educators’ seminars on Jewish history, spirituality, conflict resolution, Jewish thought and Israel education; mentoring; career coaching, job placement assistance and alumni support. Participants will also engage in peer teaching and an independent project.
Graduates of this program earn a Certificate in Jewish Studies from Pardes.

Graduates commit to teaching Jewish studies in a North American Jewish day school for a minimum of two years upon completion of the program (for a list of recommended Masters programs, see below).

Living stipend of $800 per month for up to 10 months.
