Weekly Parasha Class with Pardes North America

Meet new friends, connect with old ones, and experience an authentic taste of Pardes Torah in this class on the weekly Torah portion with one of Pardes’s most distinguished faculty, Rav Meir Schweiger. This class will take a deep dive into the multifaceted layers of each Torah portion, including an examination of biblical characters, themes and commentaries.

Every Wednesday, beginning October 19.

Meet Rav Meir

After 43 years at Pardes, Meir retired in 2020. Prior, Meir taught Chumash, Parashat HaShavua, Mishna, Talmud, Halakha, Siddur and Interpersonal Relations at Pardes. Meir made aliyah in 1972 from the Bronx, NY, immediately after graduating from City College in New York with a B.A. in Mathematics and Physics. He did his advanced Jewish Studies at Yeshiva University, Yeshivat Kerem B’Yavneh and Yeshivat Har Etzion, receiving ordination from Rabbi Zalman Nehemiah Goldberg of Jerusalem. He received his M.Ed in Teaching Bible from the Herzog College in Gush Etzion.
