BACKGROUND
Emphasizing an experience of Jewish tradition that speaks across boundaries, Pardes (www.pardes.org.il) brings together Jews of all backgrounds to connect and grow through the shared language of classic Jewish text. Since its founding in 1972 in Jerusalem, Pardes has empowered Jewish adults of all genders, religious orientations, and upbringings to delve into timeless Jewish texts, engage deeply with Jewish peoplehood, and strengthen their relationship with Israel. Pardes is fostering the Jewish leaders of today and tomorrow, demonstrated by our alumni community of nearly 10,000, which includes countless vision-driven Jewish professionals in leading networks and passionate, inclusive Jewish community-builders across the globe.
POSITION
The Engagement and Operations Specialist is responsible for connecting Jewish adults (primarily 20’s & 30’s) in North America to relevant, inspiring and content-rich Jewish learning opportunities through Pardes. This professional will interface and nurture connections with prospective students to help them identify the right learning and/or professional development opportunities within the global Pardes ecosystem, ensuring systematic, professional, and efficient hand-off to the appropriate staff. The Specialist will facilitate strategic outreach efforts to prospective students, relevant alumni, recruitment connectors and strategic networks, with both short-term recruitment goals and long-term relationship-building and collaboration goals in mind.
Reporting to the Global Director of Engagement, the Specialist will work collaboratively across multiple departments in Israel and North America, including Engagement, Marketing, and Educational Programming, and hold primary responsibility for detail-oriented operations and logistics for events, programs, and staff travel related to recruitment goals.
As a part of a growing and dynamic North American team, this professional will ideally be situated in NYC or on the East Coast, to allow for both shared work time and space with NYC colleagues and timely correspondence with Israel departments. Occasional domestic travel and evening/weekend hours will be necessary to accommodate presence at events, while routine work hours have built-in flexibility. Annual travel to Jerusalem to experience the Beit Midrash and collaborate with colleagues will be highly encouraged.
This dynamic full-time role is best suited to a talented multi-tasker and detail-oriented do-er who understands project management, thrives on building warm, authentic relationships, and appreciates a vision-driven work environment. They will benefit from a culture that uplifts Torah study, reflection, strong feedback loops, cross-departmental collaboration, calculated risk taking, transparency, and compassion.
