Administrative Associate, Pardes Center for Jewish Educators

Located in Jerusalem

Part-time (50-75%)

The Pardes Center for Jewish Educators (PCJE) is looking to hire an Administrative Associate. The new professional will work closely with our dynamic, collaborative team to help maintain a well-organized framework for our educational programming.

The Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies is an open, co-ed and non-denominational adult Jewish learning community in Jerusalem. PCJE offers full-time graduate programs in Israel, training day school teachers and experiential educators for the North American Jewish community, and also offers alumni support and professional development for educators in North America.

Responsibilities Include

  • Coordinating the logistics of 2-3 US-based conferences each year
  • Maintaining database of alumni employment
  • Editing, proofreading and layout of monthly English language newsletter
  • Creating and administering online forms and surveys
  • Implementing  marketing and recruitment initiatives
  • Communicating with current students, alumni and school administrators in North America

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, consistent attention to detail
  • Motivated to collaborate on a professional team as well as to accomplish projects independently
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and follow-through on tasks, within agreed schedules and deadlines
  • Excellent written and oral communication in English
  • Proficiency with computer  tools such as Excel, Word, Google Docs; experience with  Raiser’s Edge, MailChimp; openness to learn and work with new technologies

Education and Experience Requirements

  • A. degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience
  • Familiarity with North American Jewish community a plus
