“I’d never been to Israel or studied at a yeshiva before, and my Rabbi suggested that Pardes would be the perfect place for me! He was so right. I loved the “open-Beit Midrash” system, where students of all backgrounds studied together in a supportive and nurturing and intellectually stimulating environment. I loved that I could study everything from Talmud and Midrash to Rav Kook, prayer and women’s issues. The teachers were amazing and very accessible. And my fellow students and chavruta partners have become my friends. I’m so grateful for the five weeks I spent at Pardes—for the knowledge acquired, the friends made, and for the opportunity of seeing in action how people from diverse backgrounds can come together and share their love of learning.”
