Spirituality Retreat '11

“Jewish spirituality has been a major part of my life over the past year or so but I have not been able to find a local community of individuals who share the same interest. Feeling a little isolated, I wanted to attend the retreat because I had anticipated meeting other like-minded people. Even though I was excited to meet people who shared the same interest as me, I was astonished at the sense of community. Not only were the other participants extremely friendly, but they truly and deeply cared about me and my well-being. This community has served to validate my beliefs in a way that has helped me feel more comfortable about my personal identity.

On an individual level, the retreat dramatically expanded the range of mediums for which to connect spiritually. I have learned beautiful Jewish chants, a very effective meditation technique, and a lot about how to deal with difficult emotions. I have taken a lot of what I learned on the retreat and implemented it into my life, and I have definitely seen an improvement in term of interacting in the world more peacefully. The Jewish Meditation retreat was really fun, life-changing, and a truly invaluable experience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!.”
