Pardes Summer Programs

Israel Summer Programs 2008

Join us for a powerful experience with the outstanding Pardes faculty. At Pardes, men and women of diverse backgrounds and belief systems encounter the most compelling and challenging texts of Jewish tradition. Our students are offered a unique experience of intellectual openness, rigorous textual analysis and opportunities for personal spiritual growth.

Pardes is a gathering place for Jewish study. Our students come for our summer programs in Israel from all over the world. What brings them together is the common search for Jewish knowledge, and the greater self-awareness and personal development that results from an intensive encounter with Torah in the center of the Jewish world.

bullet Summer Learning Program

The Pardes Summer Program consists of two or three weeks of intensive text study supplemented by optional social and volunteer activities, with Themed Tracks of Classic Jewish Texts, Contemporary Issues, and Spirituality and Art.

bullet Student Comments

"I loved my month at Pardes. All of my teachers were receptive and welcoming of questions. I came here to be intellectually stimulated and to have my first serious contact with Hebrew texts. I got both. I'm going back to Princeton and recommending the program to interested students."
Netti M

"The experience surpassed my expectations. I came here expecting to delve deeply into Jewish texts and emerge having learned a little bit more about what my tradition teaches. Instead, I found myself being forced to ask the question - what does it all mean? I am grateful for that opportunity. Not only did I learn texts and wrestle with big questions, but I also learned from teachers, who are powerful role models."
